Exhibition: One person show at OG , Oslo Gallery Opening March 8, 2019
Oslo Gallery is proud to present Torild Stray with the solo exhibition “Blue Lights in My Veins.”
The exhibition opens on Friday, March 8, from 18:00 to 20:00 at Oslo Galleri.
The exhibition features new works that have been developed over several years: 8 oil paintings, 2 new glazed clay sculptures, a mirror, and two works on glass.
During the opening, there will be a short guided tour of the exhibition with Torild Stray and film director/cultural journalist Ellen Lande.
Underlying the work by Stray is a strong poetic force reflected clearly irregardless of theme. In many layers of painterly strokes and grades of light and dark (chiaruscurro), content emerges as evidence of myths, adventures, disasters, natural formations alchemy and a unifying theme of the human state. Through drawing, often with charcoal sticks, the images find their final shape further strengthened by a focus on the power of color.
